We went to Vegas Saturday so I had a couple days of cheating, BUT I didn't totally go crazy. We did drink alcohol - it's VEGAS, Man! :) But, we also walked a lot and I tried to keep the food less than horrible but not perfect. Can't resist Spago! And, it was Valentine -which you can totally forget about in Vegas, by the way, for those of you who hate the Vday.
I got totally depressed on Tues and missed my training appt. My husband was out of town and that day was worse than
Sat or Sun - but I did fast walking for 75 min Weds (walked the dog to the vet) and did 45 min on tread Sat and Mon.
Training today was a little frustrating as I feel like all this hard work should start paying off but I always feel like a clumsy ox at the gym and like I'm a fat hamster spinning a wheel going nowhere. F told me it was my diet but other than one bad day and 2 almost perfect days - all other days have been perfect and I was SO FRUSTRATED hearing that!!!!! I'm working so hard - oh and then I was told not to do cardio on training days so pretty much -I'm working out too much??? What the?? How does one get results faster then? It feels good to get that out.
A colleague emailed this and it was PERFECT today! I hope it inspires you or keeps you on track today too.
Quality effort
If you're spending your time doing it, then it's important enough to do it right. A quality life is built through quality effort.
Put yourself fully in to every effort, whatever that effort may be. Even the seemingly trivial chores can set the stage for greatness when you put your love, attention and commitment into them.
Put yourself fully into every moment, whatever you may be doing. For each moment comes with its own unique opportunities.
Success depends just as much on the quality of your efforts as it does on the quantity and nature of those efforts. When you consistently put quality and commitment into what you do, then whatever you do will create real, lasting value.
Every moment, then, is a chance to move forward. Every
effort, no matter how mundane or tedious it may first
appear, can be a crucial step on the path to greatness.
Put your best into every effort. And all those efforts, the big ones and the small ones, will lift your life ever higher.
