Go organic and go healthy. Here’s a delicious recipe for Pork Tenderloin.
Organic farming is a rapidly growing industry and the word organic has become a household name. But what does organic really mean where our food is concerned?
Organic farming is the practice of growing agricultural products without the use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms. Instead, crops are properly rotated so fruits and vegetables have the highest potential of absorbing nutrients from the ground.
Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are replaced with natural green pesticides, and plants are treated in a more preventative nature. For example, beneficial organisms and insects are placed around the plants so they are less likely to develop disease or suffer from insect infestation.
Organic foods are produced without harmful pesticides making the choice better for the planet and better for our bodies. Aside from fresh produce, there are many prepackaged organic products on the market.
Look for the label that says USDA Organic and seek out products that are organic such as this month’s featured products Organicville sauces, dressings and marinades. These pro-ducts are certified organic, gluten free, vegan, contain no added sugar, and taste delicious.
Pork tenderloin is a lean protein that has a ton of flavor and is a great substitute for chicken. Pork tenderloin needs only to be cooked to 145 degrees for medium. Once you remove the tenderloin from the oven allow it to rest for 10 minutes. This rest will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat and bring the temperature up to a desirable and moist 155 degrees.
Marinating the pork tenderloin in Organicville’s Organic Sesame Teriyaki Sauce is a tasty, nutritious and exiting way to put a quick weeknight dinner on the table. Seek out more information on their wonderful products at www.organicvillefoods.com.MS&F
