Establishing New Habits

So, yesterday I did AMAZING. I exercised - mostly walking but I did it for over an hour. I actually got "leg aches" in the middle of the night which tells me that I haven't been doing any exercise in the last month!
I also ate like a champ - we had Good Egg for breakfast, BUT I had Nurse's Bialy with only half the bagel and last night I had grilled chicken in a lettuce cup with one sm glass of wine.
This sounds trivial, but usually my husband and I would have split a bottle of wine with dinner and I would've had the Huevos Rancheros or Eggs Benedict for breakfast (lately).
And, after a HIGHLY stressful and emotional day which I will leave the details out - I normally would've handled things differently. Instead, I walked....and walked....and walked... while getting followed by a coyote in the afternoon. No lie! It reminds me to keep a close eye on our pug when we're out.
It's a focused effort to replace the bad habits I have formed over the past year. I know I can do it. I'm sick today though and my asthma has been BAD - so will amp up the Advair and get to doc tomorrow instead of trying to kick it because we know what happens when my lungs get tight! It's hard to exercise.
My passion tea and miso soup await.
