Thanks for replying with your great word of knowledge. I am currently at 3000 intake calories daily.45 fat grams, 385 carb grams, 270 protein grams, 11 sat fat, & 60 of fiber. Don't feel week, but due notice the loss in lean body mass. For the past 3 weeks been struggling with the flu, taking no time off from work nor gym. Was only getting about 3-4 hours of sleep minimum, due to long hours of work (graveyard shift). Was most likely using my lean body mass as energy to keep going. Not allowing my body any recovery time Also doing cardio after my daily workouts, pushing my self to drop weight. But ended up hurting my lean body mass. Now i am going to change it up a little. Going to have a pre, & post workout meal, & focus on sleep. Staying away from cardio, rely on the diet for fat loss. Will keep you posted on how this change is coming along, thanks again chat with you soon.

David, thank you for your input on my article about calorie counting. I have never tried quinoa so I will surely check them out and will replace my brown rice with it. I don't have a lot of dairy in my diet, so cutting them out will not be hard. Thanks again, I truly appreciate your insigt. Now if you could just share your new diet secret, that would be awesome :D - I just thought I'd give it a try LOL!! Have a great work out.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, you always know exactly what to say to bring a little humor into the mix. At the end of a long day, it's very much appreciated. I am hiding my muscle and won't be showcasing it until the end of march..then we can have a gallery posedown! My wheels will be exposed too...you should do the same. So, the pics and measurements will determine where the rubber meets the road. I cannot work my legs due to my many ailments right now (haven't worked legs in 3 years). After March I will attempt to work them, so at the end of June I can hopefully see some improvements concerning muscle mass. I can't wait to see your pics. Don't forget the newspaper!

LOL. Fructose (grape juice) is 1/3 the glycemic index of sucrose (common table sugar), so common table sugar is more efficient than grape juice. Grape juice works, but not as well.

Oh for sure. I'm talking about using agave nectar intead of sugar and not for creatine... I think your thinking way to much into the uptake process, grape juice is cheap and effective...

I only use sugar for one reason....uptake of creatine. Other than that, the only sugar (glucose) in my system is from vegetables.

I am not big on other types of creatine because it simply doesn't have the scientific testing (proof of effectiveness) as creatine monohydrate.

So concerning using a sugar source to help the uptake of creatine at a cellular level, table sugar is better than agave, honey, and waxy maize (see my other message). Only 4 are better than table sugar...but doubt they could beat the cost of sugar. See my point?

Far from an isolated incident, a brand new study sought to specifically investigate the glycemic response of WMS (Waxy Maize Starch) ingestion compared to both maltodextrin with a small amount of sucrose, and white bread (10). Interestingly, the resulting blood glucose response of WMS was similar to that of bread! As you'd expect, this was quite a bit lower than the fast carb mix of maltodextrin + sucrose. Additionally, the insulin response was significantly lower for WMS even compared to the bread treatment (and of course much lower than maltodextrin). A final study compared the glycemic response of 25g WMS that was cooked with water into a paste, to that of the same amount of glucose (5). This study is different from the previous WMS studies that used uncooked "native" WMS. The blood sugar levels were similar between groups, leading the researchers to give the WMS a glycemic index rating of 90.

you could take your creatine with a NO2 product and get the sugars from that. back in the day I always use to down creatine with grape juice... Waxy maize is supposed to be better then dextrose and it's not very exspendsive... Do you plan on stopping creatine before the end... I'm taking CX3 now, but when I run out I'm taking a bottle of MAX KRE-ALKALYN and then I'll be done with creatine until the end... I'm also taking Beta Alanine which is a really helps push me through my intense workouts... Hey do you ever look around the gym and realize your training harder then everyone else... Heck some weekends, I'm the only person in my gym... Doing great man, let's finish this until the end...

I am guessing your suggestion is in response to the sugar I take with creatine? The higher the glycemic index the better the transport of the creatine. Dextrose is the highest, thus the best transport. But, sucrose is cheap and easy to get a hold of, so that's what I use with my creatine.

STILL COMING OUT
FROM HIDING FROM THE WEIGHT I'VE HAD ON FOR YEARS
Which makes sense because I'M PUNISHING Me - Get more muscle in my legs, arms, and get a great 6- pack stomach!
I NEED MORE CARDIO
I sat in the sauna to sweat out a "headcold".
I have my ankle wrapped for support,
it's been twisted and pushed.
Must stay focused. I want to give up, and I cannot.
Everything inside of me screams, wait. Stop! I must not stop, I cannot stop.
My heart, it's been "broken" too much, and this to give up would hurt too.
When I started MaxFormation there was an engagement extended to me. That was pulled due to outside "interference".
I have lost my dad to heart condition.
I have lost a dear friend to heart attack.
I have lost a sister to a heart challenge.
Loss of environment where having that "place" to stay is now "homeless shelter".
Companionship of my chihuahua, Pepper, he's with friends now. As I cannot have pet at shelter.
Loss after loss. Enough is enough.
Where is the stop point to which AM responsible to say, "the buck stops" here.
Everything in my "backpack" that isn't supposed to be there, is removed. I AM going to CLIMB this mountain. I AM going to fulfill my duration of requirements daily.
When you rock climb or go up a mountain, keep 3 points on the rock at all times.
Determination may speak. It is within my heart of choice to not quit.
Until my next article, I will be busy in schedule.
Where is all of this taking me? To a better - healthier- me!

Hey David! Sorry I did not get back to you until now! I read your article. Thats interesting. I have never thought of testing my water's pH levels before... I assumed that as long as it tasted like water and it was purified (through Brita or whatever), that my body can balance the spectrum of pH levels found in different purified waters that I drink by itself. Our bodies are quite remarkable in that way. However, I have heard that drinking a glass or two of water with squeezed lemon juice in the morning is really great for your body in creating an alkaline environment in your stomach... and actually prevents cancer. I haven't started doing that yet though.

No I've gained muscle. When you've been sedentary and only lifting piles of food from your plate to your mouth then change that to lifting iron in the gym, it's pretty hard to lose muscle. My arms have gotten larger in one month! The Max Muscle supplements (see gallery), diet, and time in the gym are working well. But I have to step it up a few notches if I hope to reach my goal at the end of month 2 and month 3. Thanks for the message.
