Hi Patty, I just posted my "End of Month 2" progress article and pics. Month 2 certainly brought some challenges: strained shoulder (no chest for 1.5 weeks), strained neck, and foot strain. All of that was with the regular challenges any working professional goes through. Well, I am headed into month 3 which, essentially is my final month because for months 4 - 6 I will be focused on adding muscle and won't post again until right before the contest ends. I've broken down the contest into two parts: 1) get lean and 2) gain muscle and stay lean. So the first 12 weeks (3 months) are most important for me and is essentially my contest time frame. Gaining muscle is a very long and slow process, so the difference between month 3 and 6, in terms of muscle mass won't be very drastic.

Hi Miss Patty! I am not an expert at this weight lifting, so I'm not sure if I've ever heard you can do squats laying down? I use the free rack, not the smith machine and my form is good for 8 reps with 160 pounds (I'm 5'10" so squats are a little more difficult for me, further to go down!). Leg press is 360 pounds. There are many different variations of hamstring curls but I do the plate loaded kneeling leg curls with about 50 pounds each leg, not my most favorite exercise. The Hamtractor (a cable machine, seated) I can do over 100 pounds. Hope that helps???

I have had better days. Today has flat out sucked for me today. I worked really hard last week and blew it again this weekend. It is really starting to get to me. I just can't seem to get out of bed and stop eatting on the weekends. I'm trying to stay focused but it is really hard. I did yoga last night and hitting the gym tonight. Hope all is going well for you. Keep in touch. I love hearing from you. You always make me smile :)

Hello, Patty! Thank you for your message. You have asked how much time I spend on the computer vs. Time in the gym. (And by the way~wedding season is just getting started, so I am booking summer currently and doing well)! :)
Here is a look into my work schedule:
Sunday through Wednesday~work from home (off at restaurant).
Thursday through Saturday~Work at Restaurant 4pm till 10pm.
I am up every day at 6:30am to eat breakfast and wake my girls up for school. I drive them to school by 9am. PIck them up by 3:30pm.
WORK OUT SCHEDULE:
Monday/Tues/Thurs~Personal training with Jill "The Killer" from 9:30 am till 10:30am. Weight/Cardio circuit...(Monday and Tuesday I walk another 4miles with my best friend (flat and hills) right after gym).
Wednesday~1 hour cardio... 30 min core and stretching.
Friday~1 hour cardio...30 min core and stretching.
Saturday~1 hour cardio...30 min core and stretching.
Sunday~Rest day.
SO~That leaves time in between my other schedule for the blogging part of my MAXformation quest. I dedicate time to meet new people and make new friends. I'm thankful for the support I have found here. I value my time and I am grateful that my schedule allows me to have this opportunity! Thank you for your message and have a GREAT weekend!!
