The picture you see witht he floral top is me at 225 lbs, the one of me in the tan pants is me at 175.
When I Started: Oct, 2008
Why I Started: I've always had to fight to keep weight off, as a child I was the chubby weeble shaped girl with braces & red hair. In high school I became anorexic & at 16, 5'5" I weighed 120 lbs, I was diagnosed with having heart issues but the doctors told my mother it was something I was going to have to deal with that it wasn't life threatening. It hindered me from competeing in sports that involved running because my heart would race to 180 bpm for no reason and feel like it was going to pop out of my chest. I delt with this heart condition all my life and then 9 1/2 years ago after giving birth to my second child I went into grandmal seizures and was rushed to the hospital; there they found a blood clot lodged in the frontal lobe of my brain and I survived it with no side effects except some long term memory loss. A year later I had minor heart surgery to correct my rapid heart rate, the doctors found that I had two knodes in my heart and carterized one of them, now I can run jump and do things I couldn't do as a child but now I weighed 225 lbs. I'm a fighter, I can do this!
I realized in October of 2008 it was time to do something about my weight, I couldn't go up one flight of stairs without feeling winded and I was tired all the time. I was tired of being over weight and hated feeling like a smaller person but seeing in the mirror and pictures that I wasn't how I felt.
Why I Love It: I love the transformation and the praise I receive from my family, friends as well as being an inspiration and motivator for the other ladies in my gym.
How I Stay Motivated: I have my beginning picture posted on my bathroom mirror then I have the newest picture posted right next to it to show myself that if I keep working twords my goal I will be the person I see in my head.
Accomplishments thus far: Losing 50 lbs in 4 months.
I believe "Nothing worth doing is ever easy"
