Hi Terri! What's D4? Is it a MM product? I have seen the scale fluctuate between 164-166 the last two weeks! Frustrating. I am picking up the cardio to get it to budge, hope I don't lose the muslce mass they keep warning us about!!

I know I wish we lived closer too. We seem to have so much in common and I already feel like I have known you my whole life. Hope all is going well for you. The gym I go to has offered 2 free personal team training session for the month of March. I went to the first one this morning at 5:30 am and lucky me I was the only one who showed up, so I got Chelsea all to myself. It was an awesome workout. I can't believe the difference. I don't think I will be able to walk in the morning, but thats ok. After an hour of that I did 30 more min on the elliptical with my friend Robert who I have been working out with in the mornings. He works with my husband and has been on winter shift for the street dept. Meeting him in the mornings has really helped me get my butt out of bed. Next week he will start the day shift, so I won't have him to workout with anymore. He will be going to the gym at 4:30 am and that is just too early for me. I'm hoping to still continue to go in the mornings. Its so nice to have it done and out of the way. Hope you have a great day and I will talk to you soon. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend. Thank you so much Terri I appreciate the kind words & support! I don't feel like the same person anymore & it is a wonderful euphoria! I am sorry to hear that you were not feeling well. It must have been a nasty bug that we were passing around to everyone. I had not felt good for over a week then & had no energy at all and just wanted to sleep. However, I did manage to make it to my workouts but was still not feeling the like I was getting any results. So then start the mind games. But, I just keep telling myself not to listen because I have come to far to give up. It really helped after I took my progress pictures to see that my hard work was paying off. So, keep up the good work & never ever give up. It is so worth it & so are you! Take care & xxxooo

Thanks girl. We will do it and we have each other and thats all that matters. I just wish I was seeing it not that feeling it isn't great. My daughter is so sweet (the one who just turned 18). I was complaining about being fat and ugly and she said "no your not because everyone tells me I look just like you and I'm Beautiful". Man I love her. At least I raised her right now if I could only have the confidence that she has.

I hope things are going well! I was looking over some business material last week and came across a simple article that I had from quite some time ago. Fear of Change
Fear of change can keep you in a soul-crushing job, a bad relationship, or a physically destructive lifestyle. Ask yourself; is the devil-you-know approach good enough for you? Hey Girl hows it going? Sorry it has taken me so long to write back. It has been a crazy week. I'm having a very hard time with Becca turning 18 TOMORROW. Its so weird cuz no other Birthday has bothered me. I'm lucky though because she is only a Junior this year. We held her back in 2nd grade and it was the best thing for both of us. She gets great grades and 12th in her class. She didn't seem to mind until this year. She is thinking about graduating early next year because she has more than enough credits, but it is still hard. I have been very sad all week and its hard to tell why. I have been working out so hard every morning and just not losing the weight. I only lost .8 pds this week. I'm starting to feel the results, so I'm trying not to focus on the weight. I haven't done my measurements since October so I think I will do them this weekend and hopefully that will make me feel better. Hope you have a great weekend and hang in there. Its so hard to see our babies grow up.

Hi Terri, I just posted my "End of Month 2" progress article and pics. Month 2 certainly brought some challenges: strained shoulder (no chest for 1.5 weeks), strained neck, and foot strain. All of that was with the regular challenges any working professional goes through. Well, I am headed into month 3 which, essentially is my final month because for months 4 - 6 I will be focused on adding muscle and won't post again until right before the contest ends. I've broken down the contest into two parts: 1) get lean and 2) gain muscle and stay lean. So the first 12 weeks (3 months) are most important for me and is essentially my contest time frame. Gaining muscle is a very long and slow process, so the difference between month 3 and 6, in terms of muscle mass won't be very drastic. Let me know when you post your updated pics. Don't forget the newspaper in each pic, which acts like a date stamp. Some people are forgetting to continue with their newspaper date stamp in their progress pics.

Hi Terri! I thought of you yesterday when I was looking at one of our News magazines and it named Loveland, CO as being a city in which home prices are going to rise in value. So I hope you own vs. rent!! We are looking at somewhere in the SW or Colorado to retire in the next 10 years, or less! How are your workouts going? I want to get more and more cardio in as I'm getting nervous about our vacation. One, how I will look in a swimsuit (may resort to my tankini) and Two, how I will eat/drink. I like fish and veggies, but I also like to drink and I have been VERY VERY good since January!!

You must only be able to have so many posted. I bought that hot pink 2 piece a couple years ago but never put it on. Did you get much snow? Hey Terri good to hear from you. My weekend is not going to bad thank you for asking. We are supposed to get hit with some snow as well starting today & going into Monday. It sounds like we are going to get anywhere from 6 to 10 inches. So, I went ahead and got my workout done this morning before it hits. Nice to meet you. I have family in Loveland, nice place there. I read your comment on Dianes page about the weather. In just bought a new treadmill on craigslist for $100.00 it helps me because i have a little one and when he gets sick I can still work out. Also, when I am really busy it helps to get my cardio in.

I am currently doing those with a 40 pound barbell on a bench so hopefully i will feel it get stronger. The squat with the barbell seems to get to my lower back. Trying to really watch my form. Thanks for the comment. How is your weight loss /measurements coming along?

Hey Terri, so far so good I think. I have had my bumps here and there with straying away from my diet and also staying motivated to go to the gym in the cold weather. I also just got over being sick, it is horrible you don't want to do anything. I do have this idea and it has worked so far, when I start feeling like Im catching a cold or have a slight cold I go to the gym and do cardio upon cardio and try to sweat out all the nastiness, I doubt its a legit cure but I feel better everytime I do it. Keep up the motivation and just set little goals to reach your big goal because if you focus on the big goal it always looks like your behind, but if you do little ones that you can achieve then it shows your progress and it feels good.

Chances are you are tucking your hips under which is causing strain on your lower back. Think about sitting in a chair (if you have do, do squats over a bench in case you lose balance) rotate your hips to stick your rear-end out...that should help take the pressure off the back...also try to think about keeping your weight in your heels to keep pressure off your knees too. If this doesn't make sense the guys in Ft. Collins or Loveland can show you the next time you are in the store.

I've been able to add in Gleutamine. Will be going for body fat this week. Let's see how well my body likes me!
Finding out through all of this, how "focused" I have become. "Focus" may enter "determination". I've come to realize that all around me, if I don't know how these two words inter relate in their lives. About Focus and determination. I cannot underestimate such elements.

Thanks for the message. It really does help knowing I have people out there that really care about me. I know this mood will pass it always does, but it also always returns. I had my 20 year class reunion last year too and weighed more than I have ever in my life. I didn't even end up staying for the whole thing on Saturday because I was so depressed about the way I looked. I wish we were closer so we could hang out, go to lunch, and hit the gym together. That would be awesome. I have lived in Missoula, MT for 10 years and don't have anyone really to talk to or do things with. Needless to say I'm a little controlled which is my own fault for letting it happen. I will figure this out and I will keep my head up and keep on going because I refuse to fail again. It just isn't an option this time around. It may take me awhile, but I won't give up. Keep in touch and thanks again for being an amazing person and friend to me. I feel very blessed right now. I love your post about going sleeveless!! I'm sure that took guts, I'm glad you did it and were able to see how hard you've been working. The legs will follow, just make sure you don't neglect them. Body weight exercises like lunge and squats are great, I started doing a bunch of them an noticed huge changes in the hips and thighs.

Terri, you are the best...I needed to smile and you put one on my face. Thank you, Lady...I am soooo happy you are loving this. I am as well. It's such hard work and dedication. I have found such inner peace and outer joy from this experience thus far. I cannot believe, however, that I WAITED!! Things are going well. I had a very hard morning though. Thought about my dad. He was always so wonderful to us girls on Valentine's Day. Chocolates and candy message hearts. My trainer had asked me this morning if I had plans for Vday and I said no. She began to talk about how her dad always gives her and her sis See's candies chocolates and I started to tell her about my Dad, then before I could even realize, I was in tears on the treadmill on an incline of 10...After the gym, I got pulled over, but only receieved a warning. I could go on, but I am at peace now and relaxing. Did a hardcore hour in the gym, then did another 4 mile hard walk after that. I am beat! But I am lifting 50lbs on incline bench. SO starts week 3....xoxoxoxo *Jane*

Terri - I'm really hit and miss on pills - I hate them as I take enough prescription meds already. I have the Quadra Cuts Extreme (Day only) that I take every now and then. So, do they work? I don't know, I seem to be doing well without, but maybe I'd do better if I took them! Ha ha! Ask your guru and see what they say? Good luck!
